La Patrona Fishing Costa Rica is a 36’ft SPORT FISHER located in Jaco right at Herradura Bay next to Los Suenos Marina. La Patrona Fishing is comfortable and spacious with plenty of shade below the Captains tower as well in the salon great for cruising.
The Captain Adrian and crew has more than 20 years experience. La Patrona is equipped to give you the best chance of catching the fish of a lifetime and having a great day on the water. The best tackle and equipment available is onboard, properly maintained, properly rigged, and ready for you to fish.

Departing from Herradura Fishing La Patrona is operated by Captain Adrian, one of the most accomplished captains in Costa Rica. Adrian and 2 of his mates specialize in big game fishing, and other than working to put you on fish, they will also be happy to clean and fillet the fish you catch following your trip.

Originally from Puntarenas, Adrian is a renowned captain at Marina Los Sueños. He has 15 years of experience fishing at Marina Los Sueños and previously at Flamingo. Over the past 10 years, his dedication and love for fishing have led him to become a captain.
His experience and leadership make every trip exciting and safe. He participated first as an officer and then as a captain in the most important tournaments in Costa Rica. If you're looking for an experienced captain for your fishing charter, La Patrona is the ideal vessel.
Lizandro joined LA PATRONA Fishing Company in May of 2022. He has been fishing the waters off Costa Rica for his entire life, honing his skills on tournament sailfish teams in Los Suenos where he fishes every year. Lizandro is a Fly fishing expert, and loves to show clients this exciting way to fish, but is also a proficient dead bait fisherman, and he gets fired up to feed sailfish off the dredge.
Lizandro has also caught hundreds of Marlin, several over 500 pounds. His cool and calm demeanor when a big fish is on the line is invaluable, leading to great crew communication, and ultimately, more fish brought to the side of the boat. Everyone will learn something about fishing with Lizandro.
He will also be sure that everyone onboard La Patrona has an epic time on Marlin charters, learning about our awesome fishery and hopefully getting a Marlin to the side of the boat!
